Andy,
It is important that we can name zones (e.g. toilet, office etc...) as we create the model and beeing able to delete some of these afterwards without loosing the name of the other zones.
It is important when we use the template tool and also we check our models.
Best regards,
Adrien

Hi Adrien,
Which version of the software are you using? As long as the overall topology of a zone is not lost through modifying the layout of the parent block, the zone should retain all attributes, including the name. If not, can you please upload your model to the forum and let us know which modification you make that causes the zone names to be lost and we wiil try to figure out what is causing the problem.
Regards,
Steve

Dear Steve,
This is a problem we have had with all recent versions. I have not tried the latest one though.
This issue appears when say I have finished a model where all my zones have been named.
Then I realise going on site that some of these zones are not existing anymore. Therefore I delete some of the partition to remodel my building.
I do not lose my zones and its parameters but the some of the zones go back to the default name (e.g. Zone23 instead of "Manager Office")
I have attached a model before changing the internal layout and after.
Have a look at Block 3. In this model I have only deleted one internal wall which made me lose about 14 zones name.
Many thanks,
Adrien

Adrien,
This problem is to do with the fact that you have multiple zones with identical names in the same block. If you rename the zones to have different names, e.g. Meeting Room 1, Meeting Room 2, etc., the zones will not be renamed.
We will be modifying the software to automatically increment zones having the same names rather than just replacing the names with default zone names.
Regards,
Steve

Steve,
Thank you for your quick reply!
This is good news. We will start naming zones this way.

Adrien
