| I been running through the CFD module and it appears that the airflows pass straight through the floors, would post a picture but keep getting barred!

Due to the length of the displayed velocity vectors, it can sometimes appear that the vectors project through solid boundaries. However, you can control this by adjusting the maximum vector length and vector scale factor display variables which you will find on the 'Display Options' data panel.
The length of a velocity vector corresponds to it's magnitude and with the default vector scale factor of 1.0, a length of 1.0m corresponds to a magnitude of 1.0m/s. The maximum vector length is the maximum length of a vector that will be displayed to prevent the display from becoming cluttered with large vectors. Any vector, which has a magnitude greater than this maximum will be displayed translucently.
The attached screenshot shows the effect of changing the maximum vector length from 0.2m to 0.1m.

Steve

The problem is as below, from the slice it appears the floor is not acting as a barrier.

| Just to add a bit more info there are inlets on each level appart from ground, a slot opening at the face of each floor and an extract at high level on the top floor.

Could you upload your model to the forum? You will first need to save the model as an SKH file to avoid uploading all of the CFD results with it. You can save it as an SKH file using the File->Save As menu option and then just upload the saved SKH model file.

Steve

Another forum post has prompted me to suggest that rather than send the SKH file, you save your model as a temporary model, go to the CFD screen and use the CFD file manager to delete any CFD projects and then post the resulting DSB file.

Steve
