| is there any word on when the final release of the CFD module will be ready? and will this release include solar radiation? |

We are planning to make the release version of the CFD module available towards the end of November.
An automatic mechanism to enable a 'snapshot' of solar irradiated patches to be passed through to the CFD module as boundary conditions is planned for future development, however this feature will not be available in the first release. In the meantime you will be able to manually define solar irradiated patches as flux patches using the surface CFD boundary tool.

Hi!
I guess it will also account for the faster wind speeds at higher elevations, right?
best rgds,

Hi Jun,
Yes, DB CFD incorporates an empirical relationship to derive a wind velocity profile dependent on exposure.

Hi,
Are these relations based on ASHRAE HOF model? Can I assume that when selecting the 2-SUBURBAN exposure Im getting a boundary-layer height of 370m and a flow exponent of 0.22?
Thanks,
Diego |

Hi Diego,
Yes, the relationship is based on the ASHRAE model and uses the following values for boundary layer height and flow exponent:
Open country: 270m, 0.14
Suburban: 370m, 0.22
Urban: 460m, 0.33

Steve |
