Hi.
I'm trying to run a model of a building located in Dubai with a large amount of glazing. I want to reduce the energy consumption of the building by including 1. daylight control on the perimeter zones and 2. diffusing internal blinds for reducing solar gain.

When I run the model with either daylight control or the blinds, I get a reduction in energy use, as expected. However, when I run the model with both, the energy consumption increases, due to the HVAC (cooling, pumps, fans etc).

Is there a reason this should be happening?

Thanks
