PARAMETRIC MENU - INTERNAL FLOOR CONSTRUCTION

Hello,

I am trying to play with the parametric menu (very interesting tool) seeing how glazing % and type of slabs (10-20-30 cm) as internal floor construction could give different performance.

Unfortunately (file is attached) the simulation seems to be not sensitive to different slab.

Could you please have a look to the file and suggest what type of action shall I do to have different slab thicknesses impacting the performances using the parametric menu?

Hello Emanuele,

There are 2 things stopping this from working:

1. The way the parametric system works is by applying the changes requested at the building level, but because you have hard set constructions at the block level the changes are not filtering down to the surfaces as expected. We plan to provide more flexibility in the way parametric changes are applied in future betas.

2. There are no internal floors in your model anyway. Try clearing block construction settings and varying external floor constructions and you should see an effect.

Also something strange about your model where there are no ground adjacencies - we're looking into why this is.
